This course introduces participants to EMTP® as well as power system transient phenomena, with emphasis on simulation of large grids and the integration of renewable energy sources. The theory is followed by hands-on exercises and the participants will build (modify) test cases.  The duration of the training course is 4 days (Monday, 13th June to Thursday, 16th June).

The objective of these workshops is to familiarize attendees with EMT simulations of IBRs and grid integration analysis.

EMTP is used for all simulations and illustration examples. Practical test cases are provided to illustrate the various concepts. These two workshops are independent, even though it is recommended to participate in both of them.
