Get started training with EMTP® - San Francisco
The objective of this training is to get familiar with the usage of EMT-type software and the study of power-system transients. How to model power-systems, what scenarios to run and how to interpret and verify results are as many questions that will be addressed. The software EMTP® is used for demonstrating concepts and teaching through practical cases. Prior experience with EMTP® is not required.
This training will start before Renewable Energy: Grid integration studies. You are able to register separately to those courses.
The Get started session is free of charge for the attendees of the Renewable Energy training
The duration of the training is 1 day.
The training starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. every day.
Lunch breaks are from noon to 1 p.m.
The training is presented in English.
Computer and temporary EMTP® license
Each participant will have to bring a personal computer. EMTP® temporary licenses will be provided for the duration of the course.

In case of cancellation three weeks or more before the beginning of the training, the participants will not be charged.
In case of cancellation less than three weeks before the beginning of the training, POWERSYS will charge the participant 50% of the training fees.
Please note that POWERSYS will not reimburse any travel and/or accommodation expenditure in case of cancellation of the training.
We recommend you to make your travel arrangements once the training is confirmed.
