Hi, I am working on FACTS controller and I need to measure spectral cotent of current/voltage signal. I have tried matlab but coulnd't achieve satisfactory result. I guess it is due to the simulation time step emtp use for transients is different than Main Time Step we supplied on simulation option. Is there any spectrum analyzer tool? Thanks

I would use EMTPWorks 2.02 to starting a Synchronous Motor.
But there is no initial condition settings which could let Synchronous Motor to "starting" in EMTPWorks 2.02.
I have ever seen a demo which is "Starting a Synchronous Motor" in MATLAB R2006b.
Would you tell me the method to starting motor or some tips of setting initial condition?
Or any example that it can starting the Synchronous Motor to steady state from stoped?

Can you link the value of different components together, so that if you copy nad paste 50 resistors and ahcnge teh value of 1, you can change all of them? Also is there a way to use equations to link these as well for parametric studies?
After generating ZnO surge arrester using Zno Data Function we obtain a punch card which we can use for any surge arrester from a particular model and manufacturer for any rated voltage.
What value of Vref do we need to enter in order to scale the data?
For example - I produced a 96kV rated surge arrester .pun card - then wanted to convert it to a 120kV rated equivalent. The Zno Data Functionrecommends we use 2 x Vrated when generating the data - ie 192kV. In the ZnO model for the 120kV rated equivalent should I make Vref = 240kV ?
